Windsurf combining with roo cline
I will for sure check this out, I stopped using windsurf because I normally work with more recent libraries ( ie it works well on libraries pre 2022 but gave pretty useless suggestions on code that is dependent on 2024 updates).
To me it's 15$

only issue with Windsurf is I can't use any local or custom free apis with it like ( Gemini, Mistral)

I love Windsurf, but as the project workload intensifies, the cascade becomes very heavy, and unbearable lags occur. For this reason, I hesitate to use it for long-term projects.
Better than Cursor?
this and Cursors they both can be just an extension in the VS code.
I want local model which can make the changes and edit the files and code, but there isn’t any AI editor which can do that.
Ill use cline with my APIs… Cool story tho..

Generally Windsurf is somewhat better than cline, but a bit more aggressive so needs tight control. I wish I could experiment and swap out different AI agents into the flow
I use it a lot, I have done several projects, it works very well.
