Everyone says they're switching from Claude Code to "Codex." It's very confusing. Call it the Codex "desktop app", because otherwise I assume you're talking about Claude Code's direct counterpart, Codex CLI.

This feature didn't create more sessions or token use. It gives visibility and access to subagents within claude cli. It saves me tokens because i can guide or stop the subagent.

Compaction should be a high priority for all agents. What bothers me is the summary generated by compaction is WAY TOO short.
I usually have to say something like. "There is important info you forgot in this session, please inspect the session transcripts related to <this info>"
Love the //goal persistence in theory. Just spent enough mornings debugging reward hacking to know the fragility of specification. Robust runtime oversight beats a slick interface.

I decided to activate the /goal feature because my subscription was ending as soon as I usually wake up. It consumed 45% of my weekly usage over 10 hours of using /goal. However, it only ran for 6 out of the 10 hours. The remaining 4 hours, it was stuck and failed to connect to the browser extension because it didn't consider starting the browser itself. It did start the browser when I instructed it to do so. Despite this issue, it did complete the job which was quite heavy.
Hilarious how much MisAnthropic copies Codex, Hermes, et al! No thanks to a closed garden run by liars and cheats.

Does Agent view display entire Claude Code Session or only Subagents?

Saw this on X earlier today, I knew something was coming when yesterday, the session agent caught a security bug that may have been missed (and was) in other repos. In the existing session the agent applied the same formula to resolve the issue for not just the current session project but a scan through across 4 different identified projects simultaneously. I still had to check this with Grok to see if there were deeper bugs for assurance and Grok found a some more with what Claude had suggested to fix. It missed key vulenerabilities in a heated debate. Claude admitted that Grok was right but they concluded to a common grounding in hardening security. Having Mythos would have been just easier.
What was shown was persistent workflow execution on different projects in the background within just one session now that's good session management. Applying this as a /goal may help streamlines things with less terminals.
Maybe one day we will have a /cleanslop command
