I've been using Opus/GPT-5.5 for the hard stuff and qwen 3.6 plus for the easy stuff. Works pretty well. At the $20/month plans, Opus has a larger context window which can make a difference. Sometimes I'm using DeepSeek v4 through OpenCode Go, it's also nice for 1 million token context window questions. I haven't dared pay per token for things; I tend to subscribe to monthly plans instead.

The problem is NOT AI, but the ones with power and decision making. The lay offs for instance. We should be in a world where humans are the driver, decision maker and empowered NOT replaced or ignored. The ones in control basically will decide who gets to work and who gets the money and since they have the money they are not in a problem, but the ones with no power or money, they may not even get access to AI as AI for real work is expensive, especially if you are trying to scale a large product. Either way… I am not against AI but against the decisions being made.
