GPT5.5 could be the top model in coding logic but not software engineering knowledge. E.g. it could not resolve corporate Sharepoint access where Opus 4.6 had the answer, and many more.
I'm no longer as excited for releases anymore.
Why does everyone claim that GPT 5.5 is better than Opus 4.7 for programming? I’ve run a whole bunch of tests, and in none of them did GPT perform better; on the contrary, it has this strange tendency to conserve tokens and write truncated code, fill space with placeholders, and so on.
Ya all just use kimi. There is a ton of benefits there and its super fast. I can code anything, search anything, create pdf, doc, use multiple spawn agents and also kimi claw.
