I love Hermes except is too resource hungry and dog slow, now I’m just looking for alternatives or ways to make Hermes work 10x better than it does right now. And if I’m honest the Hermes agent is not as good at coding as opencode, which is way faster, less demanding on system resources and doesn’t go off the rails occasionally doing things you didn’t ask it to. It’s like Hermes is too powerful, and needs to be kept in check before it goes a little crazy. Hermes is good but it still needs significant rework, so probably not going to try HermesOS, because I imagine that’s it not going to be practical to use until Hermes itself undergoes dramatic improvements.

AionUi doesn't support Hermes Agent from remote location. Why do people just assume that?
I tested the app, but it seemed quite buggy and didn't work with Opencode. I couldn't configure it myself or with the AI agent. Then I tried using it with Gemini CLI, which also had many errors. Ultimately, I concluded that AIonUI is useless to me. However, the skills seemed interesting, so I asked the AI agent to copy and migrate all the built-in assistants and skills to my Opencode, making it not a complete waste of time.
Hermes Desktop doesn’t seem to work best on Windows in my experience.
Openclaw is simply better

AionUI just a garbag react frontend, not even real app with SwiftUI.
Being open-source and fast-moving, it's had some early-day vulnerabilities (like the CVE-2026-7113 webhook issue). You gotta keep your UFW tight and your instances isolated.
